SCARLETT MANNING graduated from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco as an Illustrator/Designer. She became involved with the Mission Cultural Center, a San Francisco Art Commission project for several years. There she undertook a 3 year master/apprenticeship with Carlos Loarca which culminated in a her first one woman show, Desert Illusions. At the center she worked as an Assistant Director to the gallery program, became a Board of Director and a firm supporter of community arts. Scarlett’s art background spans over 35 years. Manning Creative is her art and design business. She has supported education as an artist/art director/ designer throughout the years working at the Lawrence Hall of Science, Berkeley and the San Francisco State College of ExtendedLearning. She curated art & science exhibits, designed theater stage sets and created marketing collateral for organizational/educational programs. Scarlett has shown her work professionally. Her works are comprised of both traditional and digital art, design and photography. Her graphic design has been published in brochures, catalog covers, ads, and posters
